Located in a beautiful, historic building on Portland, Oregon’s Southwest waterfront.
Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Enjoy perfectly charred porterhouse steak, grilled octopus with chorizo, housemade corn and brisket empanadas, slow roasted Patagonian pork, refreshing ceviches and warm crab humitas.
Executive Chef Jaco Smith consistently pushes the boundaries on traditional Latin fare by incorporating wood-fired flavors into his cuisine while boasting a view of the Willamette River that few Portland restaurants can offer. Executive Chef Jaco Smith comes from a large family of cattle, sheep and grain farmers. He started cooking at a young age in his mother’s kitchen. She regularly catered themed events at their home which resulted in his falling in love with cuisines from around the world. His favorite childhood memories include the tastes of dulce de leche, flan and grilled breads, reminiscent of South American flavors and commonly found on South African kitchen tables.

Our private dining room is located in a private atrium and is the ideal space for a variety of both corporate and social events. The atrium can seat up to 40 guests for a seated dinner and up to 50 for a standing cocktail reception.

Chef Jaco and his team have carefully crafted food and beverage menus that can be customized for your event. Based upon the family style dining experience we feature at LeChon, we offer multi-course dinner menus, as well as a reception menu and options for lunch and breakfast events. In addition, we have our entire beverage menu available and can assist you in selecting the options that will work best for your group.
